Some events are just a dream to photograph, and this 40th birthday party for a couple on the Badminton Estate in Gloucestershire was definitely one of them. It was the perfect mix of elegance and fun, with just the right touch of informality to make everyone feel completely at ease – like a posh festival in the woods!
The evening started in front of Swangrove House, where guests were greeted with glasses of champagne, delicious canapés, and even an oyster shucker. The Brass Junkies, a lively roaming brass band, kept everyone entertained with their music. Unfortunately, rain arrived at the same time as the guests, but didn’t seem to dampen anyone’s spirits – the guests took shelter, champagne in hand, while the band kept the vibe alive.
The Brass Junkies led the entire group down to the next part of the celebration – an enormous tipi glowing with fairy lights and the warmth of indoor and outdoor fire pits.
Dinner was a feast from three food trucks serving up a variety of delicious bites. Guests sat at rustic wooden tables with benches or relaxed outside, mingling and enjoying the atmosphere.
