Family photos in Keynsham

Family photoshoot in Keynsham – A year can feel like both a lifetime and a blink of an eye, when it comes to a baby’s first year. I was asked to return to this lovely family in Keynsham, one year after doing a newborn session for them. Ava had just celebrated her first birthday, and they wanted to mark this significant milestone with a special photoshoot. The first year of a child’s life is filled with so many changes and memories, and having the opportunity to capture these moments for families is always a true honour.

We began the photo session in the comfort and warmth of their home. Being in a familiar setting made it easier for Ava to relax, allowing her to get used to me and the new situation. Inside their home, lots of new birthday toys provided some ideal entertainment while I got a few shots. These moments, though simple, brought out lots of smiles.

Once we had done a few indoor shots, we decided to head outside to take advantage of the sunshine and went along a footpath near to their home. The sunlight filtered beautifully through the leaves of the trees, creating a dreamy, golden atmosphere. Perfect!

The colours, the soft sunlight, and the love they clearly felt for this little girl, all contributed to the mood of the session. While Ava might not have fully understood the significance of the day, the photographs will always be a reminder of this special time in her life.
