BATH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I'M ALISON, A BATH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Most couples tell me the same thing when they get in touch: they want to enjoy their wedding day without spending half of it posing for photos. I completely understand that. Your day should feel like yours, not like a photoshoot with a wedding happening around it.

I photograph the real moments - the laughter during the speeches, the look on your partner's face when they first see you, the people you love enjoying themselves. The big, obvious moments and the smaller ones in between that you might not even notice at the time but will be so glad to have afterwards.

I'll pinch you for a few portraits at some point during the day, but it's relaxed, it's quick, and most couples say it was actually a welcome breather.

What you end up with is an honest record of your wedding day - how it looked, how it felt, and all the moments that made it yours.

“Alison photographed our wedding and we are both speechless at the beautiful photos she’s given us, they are absolutely everything we wanted and more. I cannot thank her enough for everything she has done, it was so much fun being photographed by her and it just means the world to us both! We cannot wait to share with our family and friends, just in absolute awe! Thank you so much!”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

GETTING MARRIED IN BATH

Bath is a beautiful place to get married. The city itself is a backdrop - the honey-coloured stone, the Georgian architecture, the way the light falls across the buildings in the afternoon. Whether your wedding is in the heart of the city or in the countryside just beyond it, there's a quality to this area that comes through in the photographs without you having to try.

I've photographed weddings at venues across Bath and the surrounding area, and each one has its own character. The Guildhall has that grand, civic beauty - high ceilings, tall windows, and a real sense of occasion. The Royal Crescent Hotel is stunning, with the sweep of the crescent behind you and the park stretching out beyond. Prior Park has those incredible grounds with views right across the city.

Just outside Bath, venues like Priston Mill and Wick Farm offer something completely different - countryside, open space, barns, and that relaxed, rural feel that suits couples who want something less formal. The contrast with the city is lovely, and the light in the Somerset countryside can be absolutely gorgeous.

What I love about photographing weddings in Bath is the variety. A ceremony in the centre of the city followed by a reception at a country house. A small wedding at the register office followed by drinks at a favourite restaurant. An afternoon in the Pump Room. Every couple does it differently, and the city gives you so many options.

If you're getting married somewhere I haven't mentioned, that's fine - I'm happy to photograph weddings at any venue in or around Bath.
