Hi, I’m Alison - a newborn and baby photographer with over ten years’ experience capturing babies and families across Bristol.
I specialise in newborn photography that blends natural, unposed moments with simple, timeless portraits. Those first weeks fly by so quickly, and a photo session at home helps preserve this fleeting stage in a relaxed, meaningful way.
Sessions take place in the comfort of your own home, so there’s no need to gather bags of baby essentials or head out with your little one. Being in familiar surroundings helps everyone feel at ease, which makes it easier to capture genuine connection and natural moments together.
Most families choose to book during the final months of pregnancy, so I can pencil in your due date. Once your baby arrives, we’ll find a time that works best - ideally within the first couple of weeks, while your baby is still tiny and sleepy.

#1 Book a date
Get in touch and I’ll pencil in a date for around a week or two after your due date. This gives us a good starting point, and we can adjust if your baby arrives earlier or later. I’ll send over a booking form and some simple tips to help you prepare, so you feel confident and relaxed.
#2 photoshoot
We’ll go at your baby’s pace with time for feeds, nappy changes, and cuddles whenever needed. I’ll gently guide you into a few natural poses while also capturing all the little in-between moments that make your family unique.
#3 gallery
Within about two weeks, you’ll get a link to your own private online gallery. You can take your time looking through a collection of around 40 hand-edited images, revisiting them as often as you like.
#4 Choose
Choose your favourite images from the gallery. You’re welcome to order from my range of high-quality prints and products, or you can simply download the digital files and arrange your own printing - whatever suits you best.

Session fee: £125
The session fee covers travel to and from your location and my time & expertise during your session. After editing all your photos and you have seen them via an online gallery, I offer the following photo packages:

I cover Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Southeast Wales. All travel within a 30-mile radius of Portishead (my home) is included. I can travel further so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re not in the areas above.

I don’t use a studio. I come to you. Home sessions keep things relaxed and natural, using soft window light and your own spaces. I bring a small, unobtrusive kit if needed and I’m used to working in small rooms; a tidy corner near a window is perfect. Newborn sessions are baby-led with plenty of time for feeds and cuddles.

Yes, I offer gift vouchers for family and baby photoshoots. These are available as physical or e-vouchers. Great for any occasion! Please see gift vouchers for details.

I am happy to reschedule your photoshoot to another date at no extra cost. Please try to give me as much notice as possible.

You’ll receive a mix of both color and black-and-white photos, carefully chosen to suit each image and bring out its best qualities.
