Those first few weeks with your baby are full of quiet moments you never want to forget - the softness of their breathing, tiny fingers curled around yours, that warm weight resting on your chest. Life moves quickly, and those early days blur faster than you expect. My newborn and baby sessions slow everything down, giving you space to simply be with your little one while I gently document it all.
I’m Alison, a newborn and baby photographer based near Bristol. For over ten years I’ve been creating natural, timeless images for families across Bristol, Bath and Somerset. My approach is baby-led and as natural as possible, so your session feels easy and relaxed from beginning to end.

Every baby is different, and each session flows entirely around their needs - feeding, cuddling, settling, or taking breaks whenever you need to. I work with soft natural light, gentle guidance, and a relaxed pace that keeps everything comfortable for you and your baby. Genuine connection and honest moments, captured quietly in your own home. Whether you’re in Clifton, Redland, Bishopston, Long Ashton, Portishead or central Bristol, your session is designed to fit around your family’s rhythm.
How it works
I’ll spend around an hour or two with you at your home. A couple of weeks later, you’ll receive a private online gallery with around 40 beautifully edited images to view, share and choose from - FIND OUT MORE
When to book
You’re welcome to book at any stage during pregnancy so I can pencil in your due date. Once your baby arrives, we’ll choose a day that feels right for you - usually within the first couple of weeks, while they’re still tiny and sleepy. But there’s no rush. If a few weeks pass before you feel ready, that’s fine too. Older newborns and young babies bring just as much warmth and character to their photos.
