I know those first few weeks can feel both magical and overwhelming - the sleepless nights but also all the tiny moments you don’t want to forget: the quiet cuddles, the sleepy stretches, the little smiles. My newborn photography is about capturing that honest love and connection, exactly as it feels right now (but I’m not there for the sleepless nights!)

Hi, I’m Alison - I’m a newborn and family photographer based near Bristol with over a decade of experience photographing babies.

My home sessions take place wherever you feel most comfortable, with gentle guidance and no pressure. Whether you’re in Clifton, Redland, Bishopston or further afield, I’ll capture those first quiet weeks in a way that feels calm, natural and true to you.

HOW I CAPTURE THOSE EARLY DAYS

Each session is calm and unhurried. I follow your baby’s rhythm rather than a rigid plan. The result is simple, timeless photographs that feel genuine and full of warmth. I’m drawn to soft light, neutral tones and the natural beauty of everyday family moments. Becoming a mother myself changed the way I see these moments. I understand how fleeting they are, and how precious it is to have them preserved.

WHEN TO BOOK

You’re welcome to book any time during pregnancy so I can pencil in your due date. Once your baby arrives, we’ll choose a day that feels right - usually within the first couple of weeks, while they’re still tiny and sleepy.

HOW IT WORKS

Every newborn session is completely baby-led - we simply follow your little one’s pace, taking breaks whenever needed. It’s all about keeping things calm, comfortable, and natural from start to finish. A couple of weeks later, you receive an online gallery of around 40 beautiful images to view, share and choose from - find out exactly how it works
