Natural Newborn & baby photography to help you preserve this special time
Those first few weeks and months with your baby are unlike anything else. Everything feels new and fleeting - the weight of them in your arms, the way they curl into you, the tiny details you’re sure you’ll never forget (but somehow do). My approach to newborn photography is calm, natural and relaxed. There’s no forcing or over-posing, just time, patience, and space for real connection. The aim is to capture how this early chapter felt, so you have something to hold onto long after those days have passed.
The early days are fleeting and often a blur. I’m here to help you keep hold of those moments, just as they are.
How it works
Book
Get in touch and we’ll fix a date for around one to two weeks after the birth. This gives us a good starting point, and if your baby arrives earlier or later, we can easily adjust. I’ll send over a booking form along with a few simple tips to help you prepare, so you feel relaxed and confident ahead of the session.
Photoshoot
The session is completely baby-led, with plenty of time for feeds, nappy changes, and cuddles whenever needed. I’ll guide you into a few natural, comfortable positions while also capturing the little in-between moments that make your family unique.
Gallery
Once the session is complete, my work continues. Within around two weeks, you’ll receive a link to your own private online gallery, featuring a collection of carefully edited images to view and enjoy.
Choose
After viewing your gallery, you can choose a digital photo package, from 10 images through to the full gallery. I also offer a selection of beautiful, professional products if you’d like help turning your photographs into prints or albums.
If you prefer to organise your own printing, that’s absolutely fine too. Your images come with permission for personal printing and keepsakes.
You don’t need to have everything decided before getting in touch. Many parents contact me simply to ask a few questions or check availability.

first year
A lovely way to remember your baby’s first year through three relaxed, natural sessions:
• Newborn session at home (1-2 hours)
• Six month session when your baby is sitting and full of personality (1 hour)
• First birthday session at home or a favourite outdoor spot (1 hour)
Sessions can be used at any point within your baby’s first year. After each session, you’ll receive a private online gallery to choose your digital images.

If you’re expecting and planning a newborn session, it’s best to get in touch during pregnancy so I can provisionally note a date around your due date.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I cover Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Southeast Wales. All travel within a 30-mile radius of Portishead (my home) is included. I can travel further so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re not in the areas above.

I don’t use a studio. I come to you. Home sessions keep things relaxed and natural, using soft window light and your own spaces. I bring a small, unobtrusive kit if needed and I’m used to working in small rooms; a tidy corner near a window is perfect. Newborn sessions are baby-led with plenty of time for feeds and cuddles.

Your session fee is required at the time of booking in order to secure a session date for you. Please see above for pricing details.

Most newborn and baby sessions last between one and two hours. We go entirely at your baby’s pace, with plenty of time for feeds, nappy changes, and cuddles whenever needed.

I am happy to reschedule your photoshoot to another date at no extra cost. Please try to give me as much notice as possible.

You’ll receive a mix of both color and black and white photos, carefully chosen to suit each image and bring out its best qualities.

Most families book within the first two or three weeks after birth, when babies are still very sleepy and snuggly. But I also love photographing slightly older babies - every stage has its own magic!
