Those first few weeks and months with your baby are unlike anything else. Everything feels new and fleeting - the weight of them in your arms, the way they curl into you, the tiny details you’re sure you’ll never forget (but somehow do). My approach to newborn photography is calm, natural and relaxed. There’s no forcing or over-posing, just time, patience, and space for real connection. The aim is to capture how this early chapter felt, so you have something to hold onto long after those early days have passed.
How it works
Book
Get in touch and I’ll pencil in a date for around a week or two after your due date. This gives us a good starting point, and we can adjust if your baby arrives earlier or later. I’ll send over a booking form and some simple tips to help you prepare, so you feel confident and relaxed.
Photoshoot
We’ll go at your baby’s pace with time for feeds, nappy changes, and cuddles whenever needed. I’ll gently guide you into a few natural poses while also capturing all the little in-between moments that make your family unique. Your baby’s comfort and safety are always my top priority - sessions are calm, baby-led, and never rushed.
Gallery
Within about two weeks, you’ll get a link to your own private online gallery. You can take your time looking through a collection of around 40 hand-edited images, revisiting them as often as you like.
Choose
Choose your favourite images from the gallery. You’re welcome to order from my range of high-quality prints and products, or you can simply download the digital files and arrange your own printing - whatever suits you best.

Baby’s First Year £275
A lovely way to capture your baby’s first year in three relaxed, natural sessions:
Home newborn photo session (1-2 hours)
6 month photo session when your baby is sitting up and full of personality (1 hour)
First birthday photo session to celebrate their first year at home or a favourite outdoor spot (1 hour)
You can use the three sessions whenever you choose within the first year. After each session, you’ll receive a private online gallery to choose your digital images.
After your session and after seeing all of your images, you simply choose one of the following digital photo packages:

I cover Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Southeast Wales. All travel within a 30-mile radius of Portishead (my home) is included. I can travel further so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re not in the areas above.

I don’t use a studio. I come to you. Home sessions keep things relaxed and natural, using soft window light and your own spaces. I bring a small, unobtrusive kit if needed and I’m used to working in small rooms; a tidy corner near a window is perfect. Newborn sessions are baby-led with plenty of time for feeds and cuddles.

Your session fee is required at the time of booking in order to secure a session date for you. Please see above for pricing details.

Most newborn and baby sessions last between one and two hours. We go entirely at your baby’s pace, with plenty of time for feeds, nappy changes, and cuddles whenever needed.

I am happy to reschedule your photoshoot to another date at no extra cost. Please try to give me as much notice as possible.

You’ll receive a mix of both color and black and white photos, carefully chosen to suit each image and bring out its best qualities.

Most families book within the first two or three weeks after birth, when babies are still very sleepy and snuggly. But I also love photographing slightly older babies - every stage has its own magic!
