I love photographing families in their home. There’s no rush to get anywhere, no panic about what to pack, and no stress if things take a little longer than expected. Everything you need is already around you, and that makes the whole experience gentler for everyone.
A sleepy yawn, a hand gripping tightly onto a finger, a giggle that comes out of nowhere. They’re the details that pass so quickly, but at home there’s space for them to unfold naturally.
I also love how the home itself becomes part of the story. The nursery you’ve poured love into, the sofa that’s already hosted countless cuddles, even the dog wandering in at just the right time, It adds personality and makes the photos feel truly yours.
Natural light is a dream in these sessions. A soft glow from a window or an open door gives everything warmth and atmosphere, so the images feel organic and unforced. It’s the kind of light that makes babies look even more delicate and parents even more connected.
And that’s what matters most: the connections. Those quiet, cosy moments together in your own space, captured just as they are, so you have something to hold onto long after the newborn days have flown past.
