From Playtime to Nap Time - A Family Photoshoot in Bath
Some of my favourite sessions are the simple ones - no big plan, just a family being together in a place that feels like them. This one was in the most perfect spot - a lovely green space right in front of their home in Bath. Private grounds, soft morning light, and a curious toddler who wanted to explore every corner.
We spent most of the time outside, following his lead - running, giggling, stopping to look at leaves, trees, and stones, then off again. I love photographing this age. Everything feels so alive and unfiltered. Moments just happen.
After a while, we moved indoors for a change of scene and a bit of warmth. The energy shifted in the loveliest way - calm, cosy, and full of quiet connection. We finished the shoot with his favourite books on the sofa, and a few gentle moments before nap time crept in.
The energy ebbs and flows - big laughs and quiet pauses - all part of the same story.
