A LATE-SUMMER FAMILY PHOTOSHOOT : Murhill Nature Reserve near Bath
We finally managed to make this shoot happen after a week of playing weather roulette - showers here, sunshine there, and the odd “shall we risk it?” message back and forth. Eventually, the clouds gave us a window, so we met at Murhill Nature Reserve, a lovely tucked-away bit between Bath and Bradford on Avon where fields, woods and wide skies all meet and look beautiful.
This session was for a family of five - two young girls and a baby. The girls were warm, funny, and up for anything. I love that!
We spent most of our time in one of the big open fields. The end-of-summer light was soft and golden, and the grass had gone that slightly faded honey colour that makes everything look like a memory before it’s even finished happening.
Just as we were wrapping up, the sky decided to have one last go at raining. And with wonderful timing, a rainbow appeared, arching perfectly over the field. A perfect full stop to the afternoon!
