Family photoshoot at Oldbury Court, Bristol
I headed over to Oldbury Court in Bristol for an extended family shoot this Summer.
Oldbury Court is such a great spot for sessions like this. There’s plenty of space for the kids to run about, and the mix of open parkland, woodland and riverside paths gives loads of choice for backdrops without ever needing to go far.
This was a shoot for a brother and sister with their families, so cousins, in-laws, and plenty of different family combinations to capture.
We started around the trees, where the kids had space to run around, and then headed over to the long dry grass in the meadows - perfect for relaxed, natural shots. They loved hiding in it, running their hands through it, popping their heads up before disappearing again. It also never fails to provide some beautiful textures and colours in the background.
These shoots are such a good reminder to capture extended family while you can. Everyone’s busy, cousins grow up fast, and it’s rare to get everyone in one place.
